To see Africa strengthened, equipped and mobilised to become a source of missionaries, leaders and resources for the nations.
Africa is not only a place where the Gospel is received. Africa is also a place from which missionaries are sent.
Our dream is to see the Church in Africa strengthened, connected and equipped to fulfil its God-given calling as part of the universal Body of Christ. Missionaries out of Africa exists to help make that dream a reality.
Our work rests on two pillars: digital empowerment for pastors and church leaders, and youth skills and leadership development.
Why we exist
The Great Commission belongs to the whole Body
Every believer has a part to play. Every local church has a contribution to make. Leadership development is not the responsibility of theological institutions alone. It is a shared responsibility of the Church, locally, nationally and globally.
Formal theological training remains valuable, but for many leaders in rural areas, townships and under-resourced communities across Africa it is out of reach. Technology can help close that gap, and networks of partnership can carry training and resources to those who need them.
Rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem, we believe the Body of Christ can come together, sharing knowledge, resources, technology and skills, to strengthen those already serving on the front lines.
From Africa to the nations
A missionary movement that comes out of Africa
The same God who called missionaries from other nations to Africa is calling African believers to take the Gospel beyond their own borders. We want to see:
becoming trainers
becoming leaders
becoming sending churches
carrying the Gospel to the nations
We also dream of pastors all over Africa connected by technology: using email and digital skills to communicate, and joining online virtual workshops, conferences and prayer meetings, so that the Church is strengthened in every area of church life.
A conviction
Africa: the Joseph of this generation
In the book of Genesis, Joseph was hidden in the least likely place, a prison, until the day Pharaoh needed a solution that only God could give. Then God lifted him from the dungeon to the palace, and through him, many nations were fed.
We believe Africa is like Joseph: often overlooked and written off, yet carrying gifts, faith and young people whom God is preparing for such a time as this. I believe the day is coming when the world will look for answers, and God will bring part of the solution from the place the world least expects.
Our calling is to help prepare for that day, by equipping leaders, empowering young people and sending missionaries.
